great tiramisu day! =D

oh well... had tons of fun n a very different sat nite...
after work went home to get my stuff down to my bro's house in tiong bahru..
used my cooler bags for the 1st time.. bought them from marks n spencer in 2005... hehe... they proved to be much use! put some ice with my mascorpone cheese...
down to NTUC to get some tomato puree my sis in law forgot to buy earlier in the day! not to forget to pack some delicious Venezia gelato!! yummy!! rasberry and dark chocolate flavour.. oh man.. really miss Meroni family! i still rem vividly the last day in italy Valeria(mum) was so kind enuff to bring me ard, finding supermarkets tt was open on sunday(normally all shops closed on sun but it was start of end-of-summer sale, so some place open) we shop for our stuff in the supermarket and bought gelato home! yummy!
down to bro's house.. he was at home! haha i tot he not ard... then my sis in law start preparing le... then i made coffee! lala finally... i opened the LAVAZZA coffee powder and out in a container... too small to contain the 250ml.. then bro left for his national day dinner nearby and me n sis in law(jiafeng) had our dinner spaghetti.. hehe.. listened to some nice music on CD while trying to make some tiramisu successfully...., best part was we forgot to defroze the mascorpone! sian... waited for it to melt, in bet we tried to break it into smaller pieces so it'll melt faster.. hehe... egg white never beaten all successfully.. haha didnt realise til the end... made lotsa coffee! hehe not enuff ma.. i think maybe we soak the ladyfinger in the coffee too much.. lala 1st attempt-- anything goes! finally done n cleaned up the kitchen, just in time for my bro to come home! hehe 10.30plus le.. had our yummy gelato! in bet, chatted w jiafeng all about the italy trip, homestay stuff, the homecook food..the dishwasher.. the coffee... the pickpockets.. cheap wine! lol i miss italy! =( i hope to stay in italy in future to work for some time..

finally was slacking then my bro said my 2nd bro will be coming over! hee yeah got someone to bring me home!he came over to get his laptop fixed(his harddisk crashed n died) finally left the house 11.30pm... almost stay overnite there.. no change of clothes ok la.. next morning come back lo.. but more concerned w my contact lens.. hee so left lo... we made 2 containers of tiramisu... took 1 back w me the other left there.. jiafeng cannot eat arh coz the eggs r raw/not cooked.. pregnant cannot eat raw eggs... she said maybe she just eat a little little bit.. hee

thanks to jiafeng for allowing me to mess up her kitchen (& helping them to use up the gas - they never use finish the tank at all before! since 1.5yrs ago.. -_-''' ) and she said she'll teach me to make apple pie... she was digging thru her recipe n we saw the apple pie... i love apple pie! slurp

i miss italy n serena.... pls let the weather be cooler over there soon then she'll go to attic to use internet.. hehehe

My 1st Italy Trip! (sounds like pri sch essay My 1st Bday party)

i try my best to recall....

27 june wed
final rush to pack the luggage...not really actually.. but everything in! like 3,4am...
reach airport late lo... thanks to zx.. then check in...blah blah.. no time for coffee... so just waiting for the coffee on board... :P tim came to send us off! =D zahid too! he was there w his frds to send zheguang off la... shunbian find me.. lol
plane took off ard 8.40pm i think...3 hrs flight..10plus(local time) reach Bangkok...
drama incident while going thru the detector... 1 ang moh hand carried a martell or so but thai airport also have same liquid restrictions... probably he didnt buy from DFS.. he was so angry tt he smashed the bottle on the floor... we all turned behind...some of us kena some liquid n glass... siao one lo... he dun wan them to confiscate never mind lo.. but throw the bottle somewhere else with less ppl can... so dangerous...more waiting... we all rushed for water at the water cooler... haha pass tt detector le.. so can have some water... hee

cool! everyone of us have our own tv screen! hehe so fun! many of us watch movie til siao! haha i watch incredibles(musart concert need to play ma) toy story(just to keep my ears occupied while doing sudoku) n dreamgirls(watch til zzz) hee eat alot... so piggy lo.. eat watch movie sleep... hehe but it was fun...oh played a game of billard with my neighbour, vinyee! we took such a long time coz hard to aim.. hehe anyhow play one...i like the multiplayer game mode.. i sat at the window seat... more room for my bags.. haha made myself comfortable but just more difficult to reach the air steward/ess... great view of the alps from the plane... wow! all ladies got some orchids which we can pin it onto our top or somewhere.. i lost mine after getting our of arrival area.. =\

nice wind! well the weather is similar to SG... hee much to my disappointment.. hehe load all the instru up the van n off we go to besana! reach town square in the morning... =D so exciting.. we were all ushered to this tent where there's drinks n chips n cheeseballs for everyone.. yummy! hee not hungry at all coz ate alot on plane... and then the host's name is called up one by one followed by the ppl to be left under them.. as yinting has said, it felt like little kids being given to their foster family.. hee my host turned out to be a young girl, serena... it was great tt she speaks english i found out later in the day... coz most of the hosts cant speak english! hehe not very good but we can communicate... i love my house! me n suhua shared the attic... where they have the computer, books corner, tv n sofa... like a little study room...

serena drove the family car(peugot!) w my heavy luggage! hee ok... had lunch w the family in the backyard... they love to have their meals outdoors in summer... so shuang.. nice wind, nice weather(ok it was pretty cloudy) n 1st meal of homecook italian food! yummy! n finally! italian coffee! yummy! love it totally...

after which, serena brought me around... went to this town rather near lake lecco(right at the bottom) n check the lake out... nice! can see the mountains... and i explained to serena tt we dun see mountains in SG so we r really amazed! heehee i forgot which town was it... really nice town.. felt a tiny bit like holland v (more spacious less crowded)... i shd have shopped a little.. tot i would reserve my $$ for shopping in milan(which i didnt... read on!) there's alot of shops tt we walked past...really nice to feel the cool wind while in the car... SG? wun get tt unless it's rainy weather n u wun get to open the window in the 1st place!
b4 going home, we went to the bakery to get some dough for pizza! yummy! hee i took a blur photo of the shop but deleted it.. i tot i would have the chance to go back there... =\ there was a coffee powder shop there too..i tot i can buy some back for me n serene if i come back again..=(

the mum, valeria, loves to eat veggies...she dun really like meat but she cooked nice meals! interesting... hee almost every meal there's salad... and the veggies r freshly plucked from the garden!!! i was extremely touched to eat them! i've never eaten such veggies filled w freshness! oh gosh... i guess they(the family) r pretty amazed w me taking photos of the food n me loving the food.. haha the dad joined us for dinner(he drives the other car in the family..) serena has 2 younger bros...16 yr old Francesco and 14 yr old Marco... im pretty amazed tt the family actually has no qualms in sharing their family stuff.. which i think in SG, our family would just be hiding all the ugly side (for example not in their context, my son is good for nothing arh... everyday bum ard n waste time) i really felt part of the family... hee
after dinner, serena drove me to town square where almost everyone from nusws is there watching the besana concert band rehearse... cold wind at nite... the rehearsal ended close to midnight?! and back we go... sleeping alone is really fine for me... abit lonely no one to tok to... but it's ok... the cat never come up leh.. hee coz the attic is the cat's favourite hangout place with the nice blanket it would curl into n use its paws to duno do wat.. haha 1 afternn i saw notte(the cat's name) sleeping comfortably in the blanket... which i use at nite.. hee it was so cute!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

oh yeah... my bday.... and i got a baby g watch! =D i'll take a pic soon.. hehe thanks babes for the lovely cake baked by steph's host...it's really yummy.. hehe

the trip was really fun.. just a pity that the trip was too short to see much ard italy... but at the end of the trip, i can say tt most of us can speak poco italian.. hehe i'll update on the trip soon... meanwhile, i still haven sleep since the last day in besana... the whole flight journey was just too uncomfortable i guess....update soon n i can show my host! hehe
